That was Limp Bizkit and I’m DJ Ponyboy. Welcome to KMTJ-DB – your Mix Tape Journey – Denver, CO. Thank you for joining me today for the Angry Eyes Mix Tape.
We started off with “Break Stuff”. That song is a go-to for me when I’m in rage mode. Remember: while there’s nothing wrong with being angry, you are accountable for your actions; please rage responsibly.
Keeping the energy up with Metallica, it’s “Fuel”!
That was Five Finger Death Punch with “Sham Pain”. Before than “One Step Closer” by Linkin Park. Up next, The White Stripes.
“Enemy” by Tommee Profitt, Beacon Light, and Sam Tinnesz. Before that the song was “Seven Nation Army”.
This next block focuses a spotlight on the true evils in society – not each other, but those who try to divide us for their own gain. Up next, it’s Rage Against the Machine on KMTJ-DB.
DJ Ponyboy here with you sharing tunes to help you release your rage.
1999’s “Sleep Now in the Fire” followed by Gary Clark Jr. with “This Land” – a powerful tune from twenty years later (2019).x After that Marilyn Manson with “The Beautiful People”.
We continue with a bit lighter vibe. Turn up and sing along on KMTJ-DB Denver.
Book-ending that set were two very different songs with the same title – “Fuck You”. The first by CeeLo Green, and the last by Lily Allen.
In the middle we heard MOD SUN with “Karma”, preceded by abcdefu (angrier) by GAYLE.
The catalyst for GAYLE’s number was when she asked for song ideas on TikTok and a record marketing manager suggested she write a song incorporating the alphabet. There are several versions of that song – we heard the “angrier” version.
Up next Dinosaur Pile-Up. I’m DJ Ponyboy, KMTJ-DB Denver.
Alanis Morissette with “Uninvited” – I love headbanging along with that last part. Before that Dinosaur Pile-Up with “Back Foot”.
Next, Rob Zombie.
You can take that cookie and shove it up your AANNGGH! More Limp Bizkit with “Nookie”. Before that, Rob Zombie with “Dragula”.
Up next, Coi Leray, David Guetta and “Make My Day”.
Scott Scoville with his cover of Soundgarden’s “Rusty Cage”. Before that, Eminem with “Til I Collapse” on KMTJ-DB – Your Mix Tape Journey – Denver, CO.
I’m so glad you joined me today; I hope you were able to let off a little steam in a safe way.
We’ll finish off this playlist with some self-affirmation. “Boss Bitch” by Doja Cat and “I Am (feat. Flo Milli)” by Baby Tate.
I am healthy, I am wealthy, I am rich, I am that bitch. I am DJ Ponyboy. Stay gold.
